Friends

What an amazing week this has been.

Last Saturday my ex-husband arrived at my home to spend the entire week with our daughter.... and me cause I live here too! lol

I did a great deal of asking for strength and the patience to make it through with him being here and living in my guest room. Not because we don't get along but because at times, as is with most ex couples, he gets on my nerves and I am sure I get on his.... but this visit was completely different. He didn't get on my nerves... he was pleasant, helpful and just a pleasure to be around.

When he packed up his stuff and headed back to his apartment I must say I was sorry to see him leave. But was left with a complete peacefulness knowing that there is a true friendship between us that has grown from the past into the present. And knowing how much our daughter gained from this week of us all being together makes me thankful that we have been able to put our differences aside and matured into wonderful friends.

It's strange to hear anyone say they are friends with their ex-spouse. Some always think there's something going on, or it's a lie or whatever.. But I can honestly say that my ex-husband is one of my best friends.
